Training on Conservation Agriculture Technologies
A two days training on conservation agricultural technology for farmers
of Bagroda village (Dist. Bhopal) was organized at Central Institute of
Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal during August 10-11, 2011. The program was
organized in collaboration of KVK and NICRA project, CIAE Bhopal and was
attended by 25 farmers. The training was started with welcome address of Dr U.
C. Dubey, In-charge, KVK, CIAE, Bhopal. The lecture and demonstration on
conservation Agricultural Machineries, Improved vegetable cultivation
machineries and micro irrigation technologies were held during the program.
Director CIAE, Bhopal Dr. Pitam Chandra promised the farmers of Bagroda village
to conduct demonstrations of technologies developed by CIAE in their village.
In first year five farmers will be selected for demonstration of conservation
agriculture technology. Head Agricultural Mechanization Division Dr. C. R.
Mehta and Head Technology Transfer Division Dr. P.C. Bargale convinced the
farmers to provide all possible help whenever it is needed to solve the
mechanization problem of farmers of the village to increase profitability of
farmers.
Two invited officers Mr. P.C. Patidar, Regional Manager, IIFCO,
Bhopal and Mr. Virendra Singhani, Manager Technical Service from Reliance
Industries Ltd. Indore also addressed the farmers. Mr. Patidar acquainted about
the water soluble fertilizers developed by IFFCO whereas, Mr. Singhani provided
information on package bags for vegetables developed by the Reliance Industries.
The training was ended up with the vote of thanks by Dr. K.P. Singh, Co-PI,
NICRA project.
