LIBRARY
The CIAE Library is well equipped to take care of needs
of Scientists and other staff.
It has a vast collection of latest books and
journals in the field of Agricultural Engineering and
its allied subjects.
It also provides documentation and information
services to scientific, as well as technical staff and
extension workers of the Institute. The Institute
Library also caters the services to other university
students under MOU Programme.
The
Library has adequate space of 12 x
42 meter and reading facilities for
about 100 readers. The Library has
total collection of 11921 books, 4169 bound journals, 3405 reports/ bulletins,
98 CIAE publications, and 245 CD-ROM’s. At
present Library subscribes 135 journals, out of which 87 are Indian and 48
Foreign journals. The Library is
equipped with ten computers with Alice for windows (AFW) / Electronic Resource
Management (ERM) software, and two laser printers, one CD-Mirror Server and
reprography facilities are also available.
The library has 256 Kbps BSNL Internet Lease Line and connected with LAN.
The
Library is strengthened with CD-ROM database i.e. CAB, AGRICOLA, AGRIS, Food and
Human Nutrition, F S T A, Water Resource Absts., Current Content etc. The
Library is fully computerized and ready to provide E-Services to the users.
